Meet the Teacher

Dear Parents/Carers,

Following the letter I sent you on 9th February 2024, I am writing with an update about how the handover to the new class teacher will work.

As Ms Vaughan’s last day is this Thursday (29th February 2024). We have set up a ‘Getting to Know You’ day for the Year 1 children on Friday to ensure that they have the time and flexibility to come away from the daily timetable slightly to engage in activities that will help build a relationship with their new teacher. 

Ms Vaughan and Ms Lett have already met to discuss your children in detail; their academic attainment and progress, pastoral support, behaviour and SEND needs. 

In addition to this, as you know your child best, we’d like to offer a ‘Meet the Teacher’ session on Friday 1st March 2024, for you to join your child’s class and their new teacher in the classroom from 2.45pm. 

Ms Lett will be available during this time for you to talk to and share any further information you feel is important so that she can give your child the best chance of success. If you wish to discuss your child more privately, Ms Lett will be available to speak to at the end of the school day once the children have been dismissed. 

Ms Lett is very excited to be the new Year 1 teacher and is looking forward to meeting you all. She is planning to be around during pick up a few times this week for any parents who cannot make the session on Friday.
