Important Information for Reception and Year 1 Parents

Dear Reception and Year 1 Parents/Carers,

We have, this evening, discovered a burst water pipe affecting the KS1 building. This means we have no water supply in this building and as a consequence, have no toilets. The KS2 building is not affected.

Therefore, tomorrow, Thursday 24th September 2020, school will be closed to Reception and Year 1 pupils only. School will remain open to all other year groups.

We will keep you posted on the progress of the situation and inform you of the reopening of Reception and Year 1 classes as soon as we can. We expect this to be Friday 25th September 2020.

If you are in receipt of benefit related free school meals, there will be a packed lunch available for collection from the school office from 11.30am – 12.30pm.

As always, the safety of our pupils is a priority, even more so during these unprecedented times. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and completely appreciate the impact this will have on you at such short notice. Unfortunately, it is entirely unavoidable.

Ms Parkhouse and I will be on the gates as normal in the morning to answer any questions you may have as we welcome in Years 2 – 6.

Kind Regards,

Mrs K Borrill
