This week we were creating freeze frames from the story The Gruffalo. Can you guess which characters we are?
Yesterday we went to Cattle Country. We had great fun going on a trailer ride around the farm, and feeding different animals. Miss Bisset was very proud of our behaviour so we were allowed to play in the sand pit and play crazy golf!
Owl Class went on a minibeast hunt. Can you guess what they found?
Owl Class had 5 new pets. We have been learning how to look after these very hungry caterpillars.
Owl Class found a beanstalk in their classroom. After investigating, they found a jar of magic beans. Some children made their own beanstalks.
6.2.18 We were learning about how to keep safe on the internet. During our internet safety day, Owl Class talked about what they love about Tyndale. We made an art gallery and the children said what they liked about each picture.
The Police visited Owl Class today. They took our fingerprints and let us put on the flashing lights!
Owl Class were shocked to see a crime scene in their classroom. Someone had broken baby bears chair and eaten his porridge! The children contacted the police, but in the mean time became detectives to try and solve this mystery.

Owl Class have had a fantastic first term at Tyndale. They have made new friends and explored new things. Have a good holiday my little Owls.
After learning about Autumn we went on an Autumn walk. We also made salt dough hedgehog and leaf art. We then read the story 'After the Storm' which inspired the children to make new homes for the animlas.
This week Owl class used multilink cubes to measure their feet. They compared the size of their feet to their friends using the language of bigger, longer and shorter.
We planned a party for Hedgehog's birthday. We made cakes and played part games. Mrs Beazer even made us a senses game of pass the parcel!

Teddy bear picnic
Owl class enjoyed a teddy bears picnic in our garden. We invited our grown ups to share our learning diaries and our books. After we looked back on our time in Reception we all enjoyed some picnic food. It was a fantastic afternoon!
Owl Class went on a fantastic trip to Cattle Country. We got to feed the goats and pigs, we even got to give milk bottles to baby calves. We used gentle hands to stroke some very cuddly rabbits.
After lunch we enjoying playing in the soft play area.
Owl class enjoyed a Kitchen Disco Literacy workshop with their grown ups last week. The children made fruit hats, maracas, a giant fruit bowl collage and tasted different fruits. The children all took home a copy of the book Kitchen Disco - we hope you have enjoyed sharing this story at home!
Our singing lessons started last week and will be every Wednesday this term. The children are enjoying learning lots of new songs and actions in the hall.
Owl class enjoyed a Christmas craft morning with their grown ups. The children made lots of sparkly decorations for their Christmas trees.
Owl class have been learning about measuring and have been using language to compare sizes. We decided to look at our hands and compare them, we spoke about how big they were and put them in order. The children then made a Christmas tree made of all their hand prints which you can see in our garden.
We enjoyed listening to the story The Scarecrows Wedding so much some of us decided to get married out in our garden!
We learnt about the celebration of light called Diwali and enjoyed learning the story about Rama and Sita. To help us to remember and learn the story we made story maps. During the week to celebrate Diwali we also made our own Diva lamps from clay and made and tasted Raita. Lots of us enjoyed the tasting!
