Extra-Curricular Clubs

Extra-curricular activities boost young people's confidence to interact socially with others; extend their social networks; and provide them with new skills and abilities. Above all, they offer an important space to have fun and relax away from the pressures of academic work.

We are so passionate about the benefits of extracurricular clubs that we are offering a programme of after school clubs FREE OF CHARGE. 

Please find below the extracurricular timetable for this term. All clubs must be booked in advance, there is a maximum number of 16 spaces available, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If your child misses more than two clubs in a row, their space will be given to another child on the waiting list. 

Children will need to bring PE kit, appropriate footwear and a water bottle to the clubs.

All clubs will follow the timings below:

3:20pm - 4:20pm

Some clubs are organised and run by Swift Sports, some are organised and provided by Tyndale Staff. It will say this in the club title.

Swift Sports provided club booking system has the ability to book 7-week blocks at one time, please only do this if your child intends on attending all. If your child is trying this club, please just book one week in the first instance.

Pick Up

Pick up from White Coded Door (just after the Staff Room window) at 4.20pm.

 

Term 1 Clubs

All clubs available for this term are listed below. Each club has a link for you to follow to book a space.

Mondays 

EYFS, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 Club

Football

- Swift Sport Provided

Football club will consist of ball mastery skills, drills and exercises focusing on all aspects of football leading to game based scenarios including, technique, tactics/strategy, positional play, defending/attacking, passing/dribbling/shooting and working as part of a team.

Tuesdays
 

EYFS, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 Club

Fencing / Archery 

- Swift Sport Provided

Fencing club is an energetic and friendly club, introducing and developing the fundamental skills and building confidence in the sport. Learning how to Lunge, Parry, Thrust, En Garde and much more.

Archery club, being great fun - helps improve participants' focus, posture and strength. Trying your skills with the bow & arrows with challenges and mini tournaments

Wednesdays
 

EYFS, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 Club

Ball Skills

- Swift Sport Provided

The club will consist of a mixture of Benchball, Basketball & Netball - Mastering ball skills, throwing, passing & catching including, technique, strategy, positional play, defending/attacking and working as part of a team.

Thursdays
 

EYFS, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 Club

Skools Out

- Swift Sport Provided

Skools out club is an energetic and friendly club based on fun, fast-paced playground games aimed at developing fundamental skills and building confidence in sport. The games include playground games - tag, parachute games, cops and robbers, golden river and other exciting activities.


Swift Sports Assurances:
All Swift staff have enhanced DBS checks, first aid training, safeguarding certificates and are fully insured.
For the purposes of Safeguarding this information provides is with written assurances that
Swift Sports Coaching has in place Safeguarding practices to ensure that all relevant checks are
carried out on all staff who visit schools, and who may have unsupervised access to children.
Swift Sports Coaching can confirm that the following safeguarding checks are undertaken:

  • Verification of identification checks
  • Employment history and reference checks
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Relevant coaching qualifications and registrations checks
  • An Enhanced DBS check is carried out, including checks against the DBS
  • Children’s Barred List
  • Photo ID has been obtained, verified and provided to the Trust/School prior to the employee’s arrival on site for the first time
  • Safeguarding training is carried out and is renewed annually
  • Updated checks are carried out as necessary and any new information will be immediately shared
  • If a DBS shows any disclosures, authorisation must be granted by the relevant school prior to any member of staff commencing work
  • Appropriate checks are carried out to ensure that individuals are not disqualified under the
  • Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009”.
