Extra-Curricular Clubs

Extra-curricular activities boost young people's confidence to interact socially with others; extend their social networks; and provide them with new skills and abilities. Above all, they offer an important space to have fun and relax away from the pressures of academic work.

We are so passionate about the benefits of extracurricular clubs that we are offering an extensive programme of after school clubs FREE OF CHARGE. 

Please find below the extracurricular timetable for this term. All clubs must be booked in advance, there is a maximum number of 25 spaces available, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If your child misses more than two clubs in a row, their space will be given to another child on the waiting list. 

Children will need to bring PE kit, appropriate footwear and a water bottle to the clubs

All clubs will follow the timings below:

EYFS, KS1 and Year 3: 3:20 - 4:20pm
Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6: 3:20 - 4:20pm

Please note, Year 3 have the choice to join the KS1 or KS2 classes for their club.

Some clubs are organised and run by Swift Sports, some are organised and provided by Tyndale Staff. It will say this in the club title.

Swift Sports provided club booking system has the ability to book 7-week blocks at one time, please only do this if your child intends on attending all. If your child is trying this club, please just book one week in the first instance.

Pick Up

  • EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 - Pick up from KS1 Hall Red Fire Door at 4.20pm.
  • Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6 - Pick up from White Coded Door (just after the Staff Room window) at 4.20pm.

All clubs available for this term are listed below, each club has a link for you to follow to book a space.

Mondays 

EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 Club

Gymnastics

- Swift Sport Provided

The Gymnastics club will give the children the opportunity to learn a wide variety of gymnastics skills using a range of equipment, consisting of balancing, jumps, floor exercises and much more.


Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 Club

Ball Skills

- Swift Sport Provided

The club will consist of a mixture of Benchball, Basketball & Netball - Mastering ball skills, throwing, passing & catching including, technique, strategy, positional play, defending/attacking and working as part of a team.

Tuesdays
 

EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 Club

Skools Out

- Swift Sport Provided

Skools out club is an energetic and friendly club based on fun, fast paced playground games aimed at developing fundamental skills and building confidence in sport. The games include playground games-  tag, parachute games, cops and robbers, golden river and other exciting activities.


Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 Club

Gymnastics

The Gymnastics club will give the children the opportunity to learn a wide variety of gymnastics skills using a range of equipment, consisting of balancing, jumps, floor exercises and much more.

Wednesdays
 

EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 Club

Ninjas

- Swift Sport Provided

Ninja Academy club - is an energetic club with the aim to develop coordination, balance, agility, flexibility, core strength, mental focus, speed and building confidence in sport. 


Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 Club

Boccia/Kurling

- Swift Sport Provided

Boccia - similar to bowls, played by individuals, pairs, or teams. The aim of the game is to throw leather balls — coloured red or blue as close as they can to a white target ball, closest wins,

Kurling - again similar to bowls, each team has a set number of stones and take it in turns to slide a stone towards a target. The team which has their stone closest to the centre of the target wins.

Thursdays
 

EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 Club

Multi-Sports

- Swift Sport Provided

Multi-Sports club is an energetic, fun, fast paced club aimed at developing fundamental skills, building confidence and providing the opportunity to try a variety of different sports. The games include Fun Playground Games, Dodgeball, Hockey, Basketball, Benchball and other exciting activities


Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 Club

Football

- Swift Sport Provided

The club will consist of ball mastery skills, football drills, exercises focusing on all aspects of football leading to game based scenarios including, technique, strategy, positional play, defending/attacking, passing/dribbling/shooting and working as part of a team.

Fridays
 

EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 Club

Football

- Swift Sport Provided

The club will consist of ball mastery skills, football drills, exercises focusing on all aspects of football leading to game based scenarios including, technique, strategy, positional play, defending/attacking, passing/dribbling/shooting and working as part of a team.


Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 Club

Nerf

- Swift Sport Provided

Nerf club, being great fun - target and invasion take aim and try your skills with the Nerf with challenges and games.. Children will take part in shooting ranges and different varieties of games; capture the flag, search & destroy working as part of a team and many more games


Swift Sports Assurances:
All Swift staff have enhanced DBS checks, first aid training, safeguarding certificates and are fully insured.
For the purposes of Safeguarding this information provides is with written assurances that
Swift Sports Coaching has in place Safeguarding practices to ensure that all relevant checks are
carried out on all staff who visit schools, and who may have unsupervised access to children.
Swift Sports Coaching can confirm that the following safeguarding checks are undertaken:

  • Verification of identification checks
  • Employment history and reference checks
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Relevant coaching qualifications and registrations checks
  • An Enhanced DBS check is carried out, including checks against the DBS
  • Children’s Barred List
  • Photo ID has been obtained, verified and provided to the Trust/School prior to the employee’s arrival on site for the first time
  • Safeguarding training is carried out and is renewed annually
  • Updated checks are carried out as necessary and any new information will be immediately shared
  • If a DBS shows any disclosures, authorisation must be granted by the relevant school prior to any member of staff commencing work
  • Appropriate checks are carried out to ensure that individuals are not disqualified under the
  • Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009”.
