The Partnership for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) Project  

Tyndale Primary will be working in partnership with the South Glos Council and South Glos Parent Carers on the 'PINS Project'. This project is funded by the NHS in collaboration with the DfE and will bring investment to Tyndale to help us make the learning environment even more inclusive than it already is. 

What is Neurodiversity?

We understand that 'neurodiversity' is not a word that is refered to daily, and we want to keep things as simple as possible so that you're fully aware of how this project will benefit your child and Tyndale's ability to support them.

‘Neurodiversity’ means that humans are all different in how we think, feel and learn. That’s because all our brains process information in different ways.

Types of neurodivergence include autism, dyslexia, attention deficit disorder (ADHD), Tourette’s syndrome, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, language disorder, social communication disorder and more. Sometimes people can have neurodivergent traits caused by other things.

Please find here and at the bottom of this page some other simplified information that may be useful for you if you would like some further explanation about what neurodiversity is. 

How can Parents/Carers be involved?

Firstly, we’d love it, if you have a SEND child or not, if you would share your views by completing this form.

Your feedback will be used to inform the project and it will also influence how we will be supported by South Glos to improve our inclusivity at Tyndale.

Secondly, as important stakeholders of the school, we want parents to be involved in this project too!

Parent Meeting - 20th June at 8.45am

On 20th June, some of you might already be staying for the KS1 Sports Day at 9.30am. We’d thought this would be a great opportunity to meet parents about this project at 8.45am in the KS1 hall whilst you wait for Sports Day.
