Learning to Succeed


At Tyndale Primary School we aim to provide a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum for all our children. Our teachers set appropriate learning challenges and respond to children’s varied learning needs. However, there are some children who have barriers to learning which means they have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) that require particular attention by the school. There are various procedures in place to identify any children with SEND and our systems to support these children fully involve parents.


We aim to ensure that every child with SEND is identified and provided for as early as possible. We will support each child in achieving their full potential, developing independence and positive learning behaviour. We closely monitor the progress of all our children which enables us to provide additional support and/or a differentiated curriculum where needed and this may be different from that provided for other children of the same age.

Our governor responsible for monitoring the SEN provision is Mrs Wallace.

Supportive Parents
Supportive Parents provide the Parent Partnership Service for South Glos.  They offer parents/carers of children with SEN the support and information that they are entitled to.  This enables parents/carers to play a more active role in their children’s education.
