Walk to School Project

Strider visited us this afternoon! We were all impressed with his dabbing skills, and enjoyed a high 5 or a hug :)

Introducing Park and Stride Zone Map

As you may be aware, our school encourages our pupils and their families to walk to school and enjoy the many benefits this simple act brings.

Walking to school helps children feel happier and healthier and even do better in class because they arrive refreshed, fit and ready to learn. And more families walking means fewer cars on the road during the school run, helping to reduce congestion and pollution at the school gates.

We understand that not all children are able to walk the whole way to school due to distance, family work commitments or a variety of other reasons. One way in which we hope to help is by showing how far a 5 to 10 min walk is from the school that qualifies for Park and Stride. This is a simple idea where families can park their car a 10 minute walk from school and then walk the rest of the way.

If you take public transport you can still join in. Why not hop-off a couple of stops earlier and complete your journey on foot?

Thank you for your continuing support.  If you have any questions please get in touch.
